Much is being made about Vikings President Mark Wilf's comments regarding Brett Favre. And that's all well and good. But I think the lede has DEFINETLY been buried here. From Wilf:
I’m appreciative of the fact that the fans are very interested and curious about the whole situation. We have a football department, we have a head coach, Brad Childress, Rick Spielman is our head of personnel, and we go through this process with any player.
Wait. WAIT. The Minnesota Vikings...have a FOOTBALL DEPARTMENT? Great, just GREAT! Do the PACKERS have a 'football department'? Well, they'd better! Oh man, just as I was starting to feel good about the offseason...

Ehhh.. All a company really needs is a good marketing department. Then they can make money no matter how many games they win. Just put a team of marketers in charge of picking out coaches with big personalities, and finding players that are all flash. The Raiders have shown that this is profitable time and time again.

If it happens, then Al Harris, Charles Woodson, Nick Collins and Tramon Williams will get very hungry. Not to mention Atari Bigby. Who else would be on the INT-catcher's list?
