Ex-NFL Player Esera Tuaolo Charged With Domestic Assault

Former National Football League defensive lineman Esera Tuaolo was arrested and charged with domestic assault, Nancy Ngo of the Pioneer Press reports.

The 41-year old was arrested last Sunday in North Oaks, Minnesota, and has been charged with domestic assault, assault and disorderly conduct.

Each of charges are misdemeanors. Tuaolo was released on $2,000 bail, and a no-contact order with the victim was issued by a judge.

A second-round pick out of Oregon State by the Green Bay Packers in 1991, Tuaolo also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers.

Tuaolo revealed that he was gay in 2002.
