Packers wide receivers Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks missed practice for the third consecutive day on Friday.
For #Packers on Friday, WR Dontayvion Wicks & DL T.J. Slaton did not head outside after stretch. WR Christian Watson did go outside but did not have his helmet. LB De’Vondre Campbell still not practicing.

After head coach Matt LaFleur indicated yesterday that both would need to participate in today's practice to have a chance to play against the Vikings on Sunday night, it's a good bet both will be innactive for the team's Week 17 contest in Minneapolis.
Watson has missed three straight games since injuring his hamstring late in the Packers’ win over the Chiefs. Wicks has battled through an ankle injury but was knocked out of Sunday’s win over the Panthers after sustaining a chest injury.

Watson needs the offseason to get stronger and heal. He said he spent a lot of money to not get injured this year, and not sure what that entailed. Is he a solid receiver for the packers going forward? We won't know until at least next year. He needs to play every Sunday and has missed too many games. If not, GB is fairly deep at WR finally. Reed, Heath, Wicks, and Doubs are all capable of catching the ball and making plays though it would be nice to see Watson out there. Hope he recovers fully.

Is Melton active? This would be a great coming out party for him.
You're right about Watson. He missed 3 games last year and is about to miss #7 this year.
"The most important ability is availability" is an old truism in pro sports, and Watson needs a run of better luck (or something).

That is the truth. Watson doesn't seem built for the pro game.

Christian Watson: the greatest receiver who barely played.
