Report: Eagles Request Permission to Interview Eliot Wolf
The Eagles have an opening in their personnel department, but the Packers had recently promoted Wolf.
According to Jason LaCanfora of CBS:
The Eagles have requested permission to interview recently promoted Green Bay exec Eliot Wolf for their personnel opening
— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 6, 2015
The reported request comes on the heels of the Eagles firing vice president of player personnel Tom Gamble last week.
Green Bay does not necessarily have to honor such a request, especially in light of Wolf's recent promotion within the Packers organization, although there's been no word of whether they have.
The Packers have notably denied several requests for assistant coaches to be interviewed by other teams in the past.

Reminds of the classic Onion headline punchline.
"No, says God."

It is not a desirable situation if Wolf wants to truly run his own team like Thompson. My understanding is Kelly would have final say and be higher in the hierarchy. Bad choice.
