Railbird Central Podcast: Interview with Dri Archer, a Randall Cobb-esque Talent

On today's episode of Railbird Central, we air an interview with the Kent State running back/wide receiver from the NFL Combine.

Episode 365

We kick off today's episode with an interview from Kent State running back/wide receiver Dri Archer at the NFL Combine. Archer ran the second-fastest 40-time in Combine history, putting up a time of 4.26 seconds on Sunday, just two hundredths off the record. Archer is not unlike the Packers' Randall Cobb, slightly smaller but a guy that can be a running back, slot wide receiver and return specialist.

I used to coach this kid in Pop Warner. As small as he is, he dominated then, he dominated in High school and he dominated in college. Now, we all know the NFL is a whole different story but he has excelled at every level so why not give the kid a chance. He also plays with a big heart and is a tough kid for his size. He was one of my favorite kids to coach as he always did what he was taught and always tried to get better. Good luck in the draft Dri!!!

You put about 10 pounds he just may be and he makes the other players on the field look like they are standing still. I feel he could be a nice addition on special teams but comparing him to Cobb, that would be too early to tell. I know he would smoke him in the 40.. lol
