For Packer fans the first, second, and third waves of free agency are always a crawl. No GM does less (by far) than Thompson. Not saying that's bad, but it's just the way it is and always will be until he retires.

Thompson's most active year, 2006, featured players that compensated for Mike Sherman's draft mistakes. TT does not do draft mistakes, therefore there are no holes to fill with risky FA's. You do that with minimum wage vets like Benson. Easier to not admit one's makes mistakes on draft day, and prove you're smart enough to ONLY build a roster by using the draft/rookies other team's PS cuts.
