POLL: Your Expectations for the 2023 Green Bay Packers

Submit your responses to our 2023 fan expectations poll!

It's that time of year once again!

With the 2023 training camp just a couple weeks away, it's time to submit your responses to my annual poll for fan expectations for the team. This is the sixth year I've done this poll. Let's get a record number of participants yet again!

The questions stay mostly the same (with a few exceptions) every year, but the responses are always different and provide some good insight into the general mood of the fanbase heading into the new season.

The link to take the survey is here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScn_2ZjJ4VEee-V4Is4uSjrHBXmeLrk...

In a few weeks right as training camp begins, I will return with a full breakdown of responses, and will highlight some of your answers to the last few questions on the list.

If you're interested in reading past years' responses, take a look:

Please participate and spread the word widely! Looking forward to seeing the responses.

I thought they would let me pick the "toughest opponents" not just one. Looks like it will be a landslide.

I set my expectations high, because the season hasn't even started yet.

The only goal I set that I REQUIRE the Packers to accomplish, is sweep the division. Took a step back last season. Time to get back on track.

Yep! Sweeping the North should be the goal, this year. Time to stop the skid with Detroit and to rub vikings' faces in the turf, are a must. The Bears are the Bears. Take them for what they are worth. GO PACK, GO!!!

Problems with them being such a young team (youngest in the NFL), plus a QB in his first year as starter, plus a change in the offence due to a new QB means I'm expecting a somewhat poor start, average mid-season and good finish.

Overall, I'm trending between 8-9 and 9-8,
I'LL GO 9-8..............but it will be a season full of drama, despite the final score.

If Love has a good start early on, 10-7 and the playoffs are indeed possible. If, additionally, LaFleur can make good in-game adjustments, and Barry has a better year as DC, it could be 11-6.

I can't see more wins than that realistically, but its preseason and that means its ok to dream. If its 3am and I'm in la-la land, I'm dreaming 13-4.

I am stuck at the same spot in terms of overall record. I am thinking 8-9 or 9-8 seems likely. I think we may come down to the last game again this year for a chance at a playoff spot.

If we have solid OL play I think we can be better than many people expect. Giving Jordan time to go through his options and hopefully keep the chains moving.

9-8 would be an incredibly successful season, and 50% better than AR13's first year as a starter.

I wish Packers will be in constant improvement on players and team as well. Only "demand" from my side.

It would be interesting to reissue this poll after the second preseason game and compare the results.

I think we'll win the division, and that would mean around 11 wins. It'll probably come down to the last week of the season.

Minnesota will decline from last year. Chicago will be better, but they have a long ways to go. Detroit will be around .500. 11 wins should do it, as long as 4 of them are against division opponents. We get Chicago in Chicago first and then we host the Lions on a Thursday on Week 4. Perfect opportunity to crush and destroy.

I went with 10-7, winning the division, and a first round playoff exit. Offense in the top 10 (barely) and defense in the middle of the pack. I would have lower expectations if the division was stronger.

Is this Crisis management?
Come on they traded Aaron Rodgers!
And truthfully as I get older.
I'm more worried about Sex Life changes.
But if I believe all the hype.
And Love is the new MVP.
Thats all we need to Win the division.
I Still think Gutey isn't doing enough
to win the Super-Bowl.
Can he honestly say that?
Or is this just another promotional ploy.
Just to sell tickets.
The beauty is feeling they will.
But until Lambeau feels like home.
And the Packer players show it's their Castle.
I can't go crazy. It's if you say so.

What's enough to win the superbowl? They tried the, pay your star MVP QB 50 million a year, and in doing so, lost their "keys to the castle" under his questionable leadership. Love may or may not be the answer, but #8's time was up! Can't beat the F-ing lions, at home to get into the playoffs? C'mon man!!

Face it Rodgers washed up. When you can't lead a team by example and not show early to help a new receiver corp and think I am all it and then get dumped by the Lions and lose the decision, the old useless Tit On the Bull phrase comes to mind!

I would love to see you eat your "washed up" words and have Rodgers have a great season in NY. After a decade and a half of thrilling and relevant football, the guy has a broken thumb and not much receiving talent to go with a seriously underperforming defense and you decide he's washed up. I hope Love has a great career, but I truly hope Rodgers wins another title that GB could not get him to with an aging and incompetent Ted Thompson, awful defenses, and worse defensive coordinators. I hope the newness of the team and setting helps him win it all for the Jets.

funny, it was the thumb or was it just AR being dumb.

He has lost all meaningfull games since 2011.
He had more helf the most if not all top 10 QBs over the last 12 years. Great WRs not so bad Ds and great line.
He never played like 20% of our pay roll, always more like 2%.
But he blamed everyone else and threw a lot of guys under the bus.
He was the worst leader you can imagine and he was teribble outside his circle. Never throw to the open Wr if it was not his buddy.
He is flathearther wo is afraid of planes and ask Rogan (Rogan!) for advice. How can you let your kids watch if he is playing.
He will find a way to mess it up for Woody, like he always does and the Jets derserve it.

The Packers will be fun to watch even we dont go far. But it can be worse then under AR, who always find a way to looooose when it counts

You're either with us or against us! I appreciate and Love everything #8 did for the organization, but he wanted out, and is no longer one of us. I could give a shit if he ever wins another game, for he is a jet! His demise is our reward, in the fashion of a nice high day pick. GPG!! CARRY THE G!!!!

Atta boy SH! The gloom and doom still exists in your world. Rodgers is not the first hall of famer to be traded nor will he be the last. Who said Love would be the MVP? Nobody that I saw. Most are hopeful that he has learned while sitting on the bench, just as your crush Rodgers did for 3 years. Gute not doing enough? Again, you don't follow the Packers or understand the salary cap. Pack has about $1.5 million to buy a FA after they sign the rookie class and do a few restructures. How is he supposed to buy quality starters with an empty wallet? He has drafted better than almost any other GM the last two years. I guess if they win the division and go to the playoffs, you will say it was a wasted season. I am so glad I don't wake up with your cloud over your head every day.

I see a lot of optimism which is good. But realistically, at this moment - Jun 6, I don't see us winning the division. Make the playoffs, maybe. Just too many questions marks with Love, expecting a Joe Barry D to pick up the slack... Keeping my expectations lower at this point but hoping for better! GPG

Two of the big "ifs" are if MLF can make better in game adjustments and whether jb can competently run a defense.
I'm hoping yes to both, but not putting any of my hard earned cash on either until I see it happen more than a few times.
GPG!

I'm thinking 7-10 or 8-9 or so as everybody adjusts to a new QB, a new scheme, youthful WRs and TEs and a defense that has some very big question marks at safety and D-line.

I don’t know who wins the division. I suspect the Bears will flop, the Vikings are on a retrograde path and I don’t know if the chemistry that the Lions had last year will still be in place. Finally, our inexperience on O makes the only seeming certainty that we will be in for an up and down ride.

Can we win the division? Yes, given the above, but the metric for me is how do I feel about next year in early December? Do I see players developing and tactical acumen from the coaches? Is our D decent or better consistently? Are we looking like next year this young core will be a true threat? If that’s the case, I will be happy, and, I’d see this season as a victory if that continues through to the off season.

An up-and-down start, but ultimately only single digit losses for the Packers this season. In contention for a wild-card spot.

I think the Packers will start out good with the weakness of the early schedule and an offense that while featuring a lot of young players will be unlike the league has seen for the Packers and other teams. I expect as the schedule gets harder teams will also have an idea on how to counter/adjust for the offense the Packers started with and they will struggle the middle third of the season. If MLF/Stenavich can counter the adjustments made by other teams and some of the players begin to mature they very well could have a successful last third of the season and ride that into a playoff berth. I'm thinking 9/10 wins is a safe expectation while the real onus is on the coaching staff to make the correct adjustments and put the players in roles they can succeed to make a winning/playoff team happen.

CDH,

MLF should be able to add new plays every week and keep opposing defenses guessing. Hopefully he wows us with his ability to scheme guys open.

Super Bowl or Bust!!!

I don't take losing lightly so here it is ...

JUST WIN BABY!!

I don't care if it's a dominating OL, a great rushing attack, an unprecedented young QB tearing it up, young WR busting out all over, a revitalized young hungry front 7, fast dangerous ILBs, a shutdown secondary, special WE-fense or all of the above.

Let's cut the crap and ditch the excuses and win, Win, WIN!!!

JB, a dominant O line let's the whole offense work. Without it JL10's whole season (and maybe whole career) is much worse.

I’m gaining optimism—a month ago, I believed 6-wins. The nfc north is messy, I believe we can win the division—9-8.
Just beat the broncos—I despise that team.
Go Packers!!!
