GAME PREDICTIONS Week 1 Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars |

---|---|---|---|
Name | Record | Pick | Prediction |
Adam | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 27-17 |
A couple of timely Blake Bortles interceptions help the Packers start 1-0. Jordy Nelson catches a touchdown and Eddie Lacy sweats so much he nearly floods the stadium.

Jersey Al | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 24-19 |
Despite what they are saying, I don't see how Jordy Nelson can be "full bore" in his first game back. Packers ease him in, Rodgers shows some rust, and Lacy/Starks combine for 25-30 carries as the Packers grind out a win against an upset-minded Jaguars team in the Florida heat.

Andrew | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 24-17 |
For a non-Packers fan, I'm pretty jazzed to see what this team can do. The band is back together on offense, the defense looks pretty good—sky seems to be the limit here. The Jaguars are improved and one of my sneaky picks to make the playoffs, but they aren't ready to overcome the big kids in the NFC, at least not yet. The Packers may struggle a little early, trying to contain Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns, but once the defense gets going, the Packers should win this handily.

Cory | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 23-20 |
This is the second time the Packers will open the season in Florida. The first time was the Super Bowl-winning season of 1996 — which is a nice omen.

Jason | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 28-27 |
Week 1 is always filled with surprises so I have this one very close but that's where the surprises end. Yes the Packers will face heat they rarely see but the Jaguars have to deal with it too and they're all human. With a Super Bowl on their mind, Green Bay comes out firing, building an early lead. After a furious comeback attempt by the Jags, the Packers seal the deal on defense.

Jayme | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 21-13 |
First games are hard to predict, especially one against an uncommon opponent and in heat that the Packers aren't used to playing in. But even with an improved squad, I can't see Jacksonville beating the Packers. It won't be a blow out, there will be rust, but it should be a win.

Michelle | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 27-17 |
Don’t count out Jacksonville this season; the Jaguars have a solid defense and Blake Bortles is better than people realize. But ultimately the Packers are a more complete football team.
|
Ross | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 34-24 |
The Jaguars offense is very impressive, and Green Bay's defense is going through a little transition at DT, ILB and CB, so they might score some points. With that said the best defensive back the Jaguars have is a rookie who has basically called out #12, so um... good luck with that. The return of the 2014 offense sends Packers fans into a frenzy.
|
Zach | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 31-17 |
This will be a close game for the most part until the latter stages. Soon, the Jaguars' inexperience will begin to show as will their inability to close out a game. Packers will take advantage and begin to pull away in the fourth quarter.
|
Mr. X | 0-0 | Green Bay Packers | 45-20 |
What's with all these close scores? Packers offense will roll all over the poor Jags, heat or not.

Packers need to run the ball effectively, convert 3rd downs and stop the run. They need to keep their defense off the field or the heat and humidity will wear them down. Since it's his first game back I expect Jordy to be used as a decoy to draw coverage while Cook and Monty are primary targets. Lacy and Starks chew up the clock and our revamped defense gets off the field on 3rd downs. I like the Pack: 30-13.
Thanks, Since '61

Have no idea, but if there ever was an Opener that I wanted to see the Packers come out on fire, from start to finish, its this year.

FYI, and IIRC, Corey predicted that GB would win 63-0 every week last year.
