 GAME PREDICTIONS - 2017 Week 10

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears

Name Record   Pick Prediction
Andrew 6-2 Chicago Bears 17-13
The Packers are in a bad spot, no doubt about it. While normally this game would look like a layup, not one thing seems to be going right for this team. And Chicago can run the ball while the Packers can't stop - well, anything, but rushing attempts do continue to be a big issue. If the Packers had any spark on offense, I would pick them. But last week left me exasperated and it's hard to see them rebounding when they are this bad on both sides of the ball.
Andy 5-3 Chicago Bears 13-10
I wholeheartedly believe this is going to be a very ugly game. I think the defense will bounce back a bit from a week ago but in the end, it will still end in a frustrating loss. Look for a lot of action from Jones/Montgomery and Cohen/Howard in this one.
Chris P 5-3 Green Bay Packers 17-13
This game is a must-win for the Packers. There is no doubt about that. It might be ugly, but at least Chicago doesn't have the advantage at QB that the Saints and Lions did. It's not impressive, but Green Bay finds a way.
Chris W 4-4 Chicago Bears 24-20
I can’t tell you how much it pains me to pick Chicago. But until the Packers pick up a win in the shape they’re currently in, it’s hard to pick them. If they rely more on Aaron Jones and the defense can improve even minimally, they can flip the script. But what have they done recently to suggest that will happen?
Cory 6-2 Chicago Bears 13-12
When Aaron Rodgers got hurt, the Packers lost their personality. They have the personnel to throw the ball downfield, however, Brett Hundley can’t do that accurately. If your garage is dirty, go clean it.
David 6-2 Green Bay Packers 23-20
If there's an offense that the Packer defense can get back on track against, it just might be the Bears. In eight games, Chicago has scored more than 17 points just twice. Green Bay will load up against the run and dare Mitch Trubisky to beat them, and though talented, the Bears rookie is no Matt Stafford.
Elisha 5-3 Green Bay Packers 17-14
This game should be about as exciting as Giants-49ers. Can Dom Capers come up with a game plan to slow down the league's fifth-worst offense? I wouldn't bet on it, though I still think the Packers will find a way to win.
Jason 6-2 Chicago Bears 17-14
The score indicates a throwback to the days when this was a low-scoring physical battle. The reality is that neither team has a consistent offense so this is the likely outcome.  Brett Hundley has missed a lot of throws and will face a good amount of pressure in this tough road game.  Too much to overcome for a team that hasn't played complete football in over a month.
Jersey Al 5-3 Chicago Bears 20-13
These are two teams going in opposite directions. The Bears have built a solid and opportunistic defense while the Packers D continues to play Charmin soft. Brett Hundley has not yet shown he can lead a team while rookie Mitch Trubisky has been improving every game.Despite all the clamoring for McCarthy opening things up for Hundley (do we really think that's wise?), I think that's what you'll see from the Bears as they likely look at the Packers' D as the perfect opportunity to do so. More misery as the 2017 season goes further down the tubes.
Michelle 5-3 Chicago Bears 13-10
This isn’t going to be a pretty game, and with how much Chicago and Green Bay are limiting quarterbacks Mitchell Trubisky and Brett Hundley, the scoring could be made up entirely of field goals. Until the Packers show us a unit on either side of the ball that can put together a cohesive game, we have to expect more of the same.
Ross 7-1 Chicago Bears 20-16
I still cannot in good conscience pick the Packers until I see a lot of improvement.  Season, and all-time series goes back to a split.
Zach 4-4 Green Bay Packers 17-13
I pride myself on being realistic, and given recent events, it’s hard to remain as such and keep picking the Packers. But, I’m still going to. Look for Aaron Jones to have a big day towards a Packers win. I’m not losing faith just yet.

With Aaron Rodgers out this game will return to an old fashioned black and blue division defensive battle or offensive ineptitude if you prefer.

FGs will be the play of the day but the Packers pull out the victory 19-13.

Thanks, Since '61

During the last week, the players really took ownership of the defensive failings. I think this weekend is their chance to put their money where there mouth is. If the D comes out and plays inspired football for 60 minutes, then this game could be a victory for our packers. On the offensive side of the ball (offense that is, not our offensively bad defense) our QB and coach have already proven that they cannot game plan together. I think this weekend will be another ugly performance with a juggled line and running scared QB. IF the D can absolutely shut down the bears, and our offense might is able to put together enough to score between 10-17 points, then we will see perhaps a 17-12 final. My honest prediction though is 27-10 bears.

I have to take GB. I have them +5 1/2 on my Parlay. As I said in an earlier post. You have to at least give GB a chance in this game. If Chicago plays their normal game, they will score 16 points. If GB has No Chance in this game, Why even play the rest of the year? So I'm hoping they Cover, but if Chicago puts up 30 points or close?? As I said earlier, we are Really Really Bad. I may be surprised tomorrow, I can't believe GB is that Bad. I believe they at least have a Chance to Cover, & even Win this game.

Pains me to pick the Bears, but I will 23-10. I don't see anything from this defense that gives me confidence. Even a great play is followed by a first down. Chicago has built a solid defense and they completely stymie our run game. McPredictable "opens" up the offense in the 2nd half resulting in 2 picks.

On a positive note the Badgers Defense is beyond nasty!

I hate picking the Bears, but they are really tough at home. They should've beaten Atlanta if their WRs could catch a pass and beat Pittsburgh at home too.

The Packers still have not figured out how to manage the loss of Morgan Burnett, who is the QB of our defense. When he was out, Haha Clinton-Dix could not handle the communications with the microphone in his helmet.

Bears 16, Packers 13
