Packers shuffle practice squad coming out of bye week

The team signed two offensive linemen they had in for workouts on Tuesday.

The Packers had six players in for workouts on Tuesday. Today, they've added two of them to their practice squad.

Michal Menet is a center who was signed to the Packers practice squad last December and was with the team through most of camp this summer. He was a seventh-round pick by Arizona in 2021.

Jean Delance, a 2022 undrafted rookie from Florida, has been a regular at right tackle during his football career. He visited Green Bay during the pre-draft process as one of their official 30 visits.

Heflin showed promise the last two summers but saw precious little regular season action while Westbrook was a potential return man who the team signed a few weeks ago.

Cue the, "Heflin should be on the 53," mob going berserk. Seriously, even with Hanson on IR, Rhyan suspended, and Caleb Jones coming back from Mono, are there not already enough OL on the roster?

I think they hope Helfin clears waivers.

Maybe they're just thinking of next year and want to look at as many people as they can. The center for sure. Have to start pushing Myers or he'll become a bust.

Believe moves you see now thru the rest of the season are integrated heavily with what the team does in the 2023 draft. An example might be if we could come up with a better back-up Center, or Right Tackle we can focus attention on other needs such as let's say a Safety, Edge, NT, DL, TE, or WR.

My opinion of big guys in the trenches on both sides of the line is you NEVER have enough good players at those positions. How many times year after year have our lines been beat up, or called soft? Keep picking up the big fellows!
