Packers restructure contract for David Bakhtiari
Once again no void years are added to the left tackle's contract, meaning the team will have a major decision to make next year
By PackerAaron
The #Packers have restructured LT David Bakhtiari’s contract, per sources, converting $9.5 million into a March roster bonus and $5.5 million of his 2023 base salary into a guaranteed signing bonus.
This will lessen his $28.8M cap hit for Green Bay to maneuver.

According to Huber, no void years were added to the deal. The move creates nearly $8 million in cap space for 2023. However, the cap number next year, the final year of the deal, is now sitting just north of $40 million. Needless to say, expect the Packers to make some kind of move, either an outright release or contract extension, at this time next year.
The Packers left tackle played in 11 games this past season after returning from an extended absence due to a knee injury suffered at the end of the 2020 season. The veteran looked to be back in All-Pro form when he was on the field in 2022.

So you're telling me that Bakh is essentially coming back on a one year deal to a team that will be without his good friend Rodgers and probably will not make it to the SB, because....?
Or is this a clue to a move to the Jets with Rodgers where the SB odds would take a big leap?

That’s sure what it smells like.

I don't think you're giving the Packers enough credit.
They could very well make a run like the Bengals did after Burrow got healthy. If the coaches will get out of the way, and the D lives up to its potential (i.e., coaches out of the way), look out.
The difference between the Packers and the Bengals that year they went to the SB, is the O-line of the Packers could be much better.

Sure looks like a one year deal to me. If Bak is traded with Rodgers he becomes the Jets problem next season or he sticks with the Packers for 2023 and is chucked after the season or is restructured to remain in Green Bay if he returns to his AlL-Pro LT form. Either way it reduces the Packers cap hit for 2023.

He'd be very stabilizing for left side this season. Makes it allot easier to fill out the other side and not worry about backups. I hope we can keep him and he can retire as a Packer if he wants too.
I've had friends/family move and or die, and I've moved. Figured I could build a new retinue wherever I ended up.

Why keep Bahk here if Rodgers is a Jet.
Let him go now.
