Packers legend Ken Bowman passes away at 81

Bowman was a center in the first two Super Bowls and was one of the toughest players to play on Lombardi's championship teams.

Great tribute to Ken Bowman.

I'd never heard the story of his shoulder injury during Super Bowl I.

Lombardi like his players "hard-nosed".

RIP Ken Bowman.

One of the more unheralded players for some reason even though he played in 2 Super Bowls with GB and a Rose Bowl with the Badgers. Great, gritty player who personified toughness. Sadly, so very few of those 60's Packers remain with us. RIP

Played for Packers from '64-'73. I became a Packers fan in '61. I remember him as a very good and durable center. Larry McCarren, took over at center from '73-'84. Time marches on.

I met Ken at the Packers fantasy camp several years ago. He was a cool dude and I enjoyed conversing with him. It was clear the other former teammates respected him and he looked the part of tough and gritty. RIP.
Go Packers!!!

Probably the most unsung member of one of the greatest teams ( I think the greatest) teams ever.
