Packers Calendar: Practice Closed to the Public

The Packers return to practice on Monday, but fans will not be able to watch. Head coach Mike McCarthy calls it a review session.

Following a day off on Sunday, the Green Bay Packers return to practice on Monday as they begin to transition to their in-season schedule of practicing three consecutive days before a game.

The Packers have a review session on Monday, sans pads, in a session that will not be open to the public. Then they'll have three straight days of training camp practices, which fans can attend, beginning on Tuesday.

The team also transitions from morning 8:20 a.m. practices to those that begin around the 11:00 hour with Tuesday's set to begin at 11:15 a.m.

Last week the Packers also had a practice scheduled to be closed to the public, which they called off entirely. The word from head coach Mike McCarthy was that they had a pre-planned team-building activity in which they went clay-pigeon shooting, but it also came in the wake of recent injuries to Bryan Bulaga and Jordy Nelson.

The team finds itself in the same injury-riddled situation this week with the most recent addition being defensive lineman Datone Jones, who hurt himself early in the team's preseason opener.

There's still no word on the status of Jones beyond confirmation that he has a sprained ankle, but McCarthy will very likely be asked for an update from the press at the earliest possible convenience.

As of publication, the Packers have not updated their press conference schedule at the team's official website.

It's been over 60 hours since Jones' injury and nothing?? I don't think that is good news at all.

The reason it's been 60 hours is because they haven't had a press conference since Saturday. They're not going to call a special press conference just to give an update on one player's injury.
