As general manager Ted Thompson noted in his speech to shareholders on Tuesday, players report to Lambeau Field for physical testing on Wednesday at 6 a.m. Central time.

Observers will be paying attention to players who ended last season on injured reserve, guys like running back Alex Green, tight end Andrew Quarless and tackle Derek Sherrod.

It's possible any or all of them could begin the season on the team's Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list if they aren't sufficiently ready to participate in a full-contact training camp.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will hold a pre-training camp press conference Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., which can be viewed streaming live on the Packers official website.

Whether McCarthy addresses the status of player physicals remains to be seen.

And according to Drew Smith of Fox 11 in Green Bay, it appears as if there will be some Packers-related programming in the local area on Wednesday:
