Packers Calendar: Morning Training Camp Practice

Wednesday's training camp practice takes place at 8:20 a.m. CT at Ray Nitschke Field in Green Bay.

The grind continues for the Green Bay Packers. Wednesday represents the second of five consecutive days of practicing in pads, as the team gets ready for Saturday evening's intra-squad scrimmage.

Practice takes place at 8:20 a.m. at Ray Nitschke Field. The forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-60s, perhaps reaching the 70s by the end of the session. No rain should fall while players are on the field.

The Packers are dealing with a variety of nagging injuries, but none of them seem to be serious. The secondary, in particular, is seeing the effects of depth.

Whether any players return from injury, including offensive lineman Derek Sherrod, remains to be seen.

After practice, head coach Mike McCarthy will have his press conference streamed live on the team's official website at Packers.com.

Yesterday I saw Doug post a couple of questions about Nick Perry. Is anyone else getting concerned about him? Anytime I see something about him, it seems like it's the same thing as last year...him using a bull rush/power move to try to get past his guy. I know it's early, but coming out in the draft it seemed like he was a one-trick pony. I'd like to see more of the second year jump from him like we are seeing out of Manning and McMillian.

If all you're reacting to is selective reports from beat reporters, I wouldn't be too concerned. For comparison's sake, I have barely heard a peep about Clay Matthews this training camp so far, and he's about the least of the team's worries. It's probably best to wait until you see him in a game environment. And remember, averaging less than one sack per game can still be a success in the NFL.
