Packers Calendar: Aaron Rodgers Expected to Return to Practice

After missing Tuesday's practice with a head cold, Mike McCarthy expects Rodgers to return to practice on Wednesday.

After missing Tuesday's practice with a head cold, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is expected to return to practice on Wednesday for the Green Bay Packers.

"We all have families, and I think we're all aware that there's some stuff going around at this particular time," said head coach Mike McCarthy. "And Aaron is one of the many thousands of people that has a head cold. I think he's going to be fine."

Today's practice will be the final opportunity to get prepared for Friday's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, so the Packers would definitely benefit from getting Rodgers back in the fold.

With the tradition of the third preseason game being the game the starters play the most, having Rodgers and the rest of the first-string offense working together will be important.

Action gets underway at 11:00 a.m. CT at Ray Nitschke field, a session that will be in full pads and open to the public.

The Packers are still waiting to see if perhaps wide receiver Randall Cobb returns to practice this week. He's been held out due to a lingering biceps injury.

Following practice, McCarthy will have his daily press conference streamed live on the team's official website at Packers.com, approximately about 2:00 p.m.
