It's cool how the Packers huddle 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. I know, I'm a geek.

One of the first things I noticed and really liked, too. If you're a geek, you ain't alone!

In the 4th quarter, up 34-0 the fans boo Lombardi for not going for it on 4th and 2. Love it.

I have been to many Packer games, but this was one I will never forget. It was my 2nd Packer game (1st in 1957) . I was 14 and convinced Dad to let me buy a ticket offered on the radio on game day. I bought a single ticket, rode from Appleton with a friend and sat by myself next to a speechless Giant fan. It was an awesome memory. Great to see it on film again

THAT, is awesome. I'm truly envious. How does the film correlate with your memories? Please, anything else you have would be greatly appreciated. I really value the 'old-timers' (no offense I hope) recollections. Anything else you could share would really be welcome. Thanks!

Gotta give some credit to that Giants fan you sat next to! Different era, travel was much more complex and the NFL wasn't near as big... that guy was a 'FAN', nothing but respect for him!

Thanks again mjack. By the way do you ever visit Packerslounge.com? If so, create a 'loungebook' account and fill me in on any other stories you may have of that era, myself and I'm sure a few others would really enjoy it. Thanks.

The following url is a story about, and contains links to 25 minute color highlight shows about the 1961 and 1962 championship games. Lots of highlights and the typical "quality" narration of the era. You can watch them on the screen to the right, or you can click on the "Game Highlights" links in the story if you want it to come up on a nice big screen.

I bookmarked that page a couple years ago on one of my 3 computers, and totally forgot about until I read your post, actually. I had to go make sure the link was still good.

Thanks for your interest Fitzcore1252. A few other thoughts that the film reminded me of. There was a real worry that Nitscke ,Hornung and I believe Dowler might not be able to play as they were in the Army Reserves. The Giant fan had indeed come from New York. He gave the Packers some props and was friendly , but mostly was in shock. It was very cold and I had forgotten how many passes the Giants dropped and how many intercetions the Pack had. Also Y.A Tittle (HOF) was benched by the 42 yr old Charlie Connerly. I have never posted before, I appreciate your encouragement. I will try Packer Lounge

"There was a real worry that Nitscke ,Hornung and I believe Dowler might not be able to play as they were in the Army Reserves."

THAT is just unbelievable. Just night and day from how things are now with players. Really makes today's guys look like a whiny bunch for the most part.

"I have never posted before, I appreciate your encouragement."

Don't be a stranger. We could use more people like you around here, instead of the young blowhards like me who largely only know the winning years of the 90's... :-)

Thanks again
