Packers 46-Man Roster Prediction for Week 13 vs. Patriots

Nick Perry and Jarrett Bush are listed as "questionable" for Sunday's game. Will they play? Cheesehead TV has the prediction.

Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' gameday roster for Sunday's Week 12 match-up against the Minnesota Vikings. Reminder, only 46 players can be active.

The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...

Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien

Running Back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, DuJuan Harris

Wide Receiver: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Jarrett Boykin, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis

Tight End: Richard Rodgers, Andrew Quarless, Brandon Bostick, Justin Perillo

Offensive Line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Corey Linsley, T.J. Lang, Bryan Bulaga, J.C. Tretter, Lane Taylor, Garth Gerhart

Defensive Line: Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, Letroy Guion, Josh Boyd, Mike Pennel, Luther Robinson

Outside Linebackers: Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott

Inside Linebackers: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Jamari Lattimore, Sam Barrington, Carl Bradford

Cornerbacks: Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Davon House, Casey Hayward, Jarrett Bush, Demetri Goodson

Safeties: Morgan Burnett, Micah Hyde, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Sean Richardson

Specialists: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode

Notes:

  • Nick Perry and Jarrett Bush are both listed as "questionable" on the Packers' injury report, but both are predicted to play after being declared "limited" participants in practice on Friday for the first time this week.
  • If Bush can't play, Demetri Goodson would likely take his spot on the active roster like last week.
  • Josh Sitton, T.J. Lang, Davante Adams and Brandon Bostick are all listed as "probable" and all are predicted to play.
  • Bostick and Justin Perillo are likely to flip-flop places on the active roster from last week's game.
  • Luther Robinson was on the active roster last week but didn't even play, signifying he's not a big part of the game plan. As long as Perry is healthy enough to play, he would be active ahead of Robinson.
  • Scott Tolzien and Carl Bradford have yet to be active for a game this season.

I try to support perry but all the injuries just seem to slow down his progress I think this will be a factor in signining him back when that time comes.

Agree. And it doesn't matter why - injury prone, unlucky, bad karma, shit happens - if you aren't on the field you can' make plays.

accountability and availability - the first one isn't an issue, but the second one is. hope he is over his string of injuries. he can be real good, especially against the run, when healthy.

The Packers aren't using DuJuan Harris much at all. I'd like the Packers to cut Harris and sign Ray Rice for the rest of the season if we can get him on the cheap. Imagine a Ray Rice-Eddie Lacy 1-2 punch.

Keeping my personal feelings out of this thinking of signing Ray Rice,if Rice WAS the piece that would propel the Packers to the SB or increase their chances dramatically,I'd agree...but Rice isn't the piece and won't increase the chances for a SB appearance, so I say no way......with that, personally, let him disappear from the NFL for good.

Agreed. Ray's issues aside, he is not the missing piece.

My counter would be that Ray Rice is one of the few pieces that can be had to upgrade a team at this point, and he would upgrade the team for sure. I think he could add an element of receiving to our RB corps that no other guy on our team has.

Lacy brings plenty to the passing game.

TT would sooner quit than hire Ray Rice. He's the kind of guy who might find a home in SF, Cincy, Detroit, or back home in Baltimore. Those are the kind of thug teams that might be interested.

Ted is too smart to touch Rice with a 40 foot pole. Plus, his skills declined recently, and he is no returner to begin with. I'd rather keep Starks than have Rice backing up Lacy. Let's also not forget, according to Rice himself, he wouldn't know what to do in Green Bay. Anybody else remember what he said last time the Ravens played here? He'd go back to his punching ways, just not on the football field.

"Imagine a Ray Rice-Eddie Lacy 1-2 punch."

=========================

We don''t have to imagine the Ray Rice half of that punch. We saw him deliver it to his fiance.

If TT decides to sign him, I hope Mark Murphy has the good sense to over-ride that choice.

Packers are the last team that would be interested in Ray Rice, and I dont blame them.

I'm hoping that the Packers put Janis on the active roster and keep Boykin in street clothes. I was rewatching the Packers at the Bears and the Eagles at the Packers the other day. In both games Boykin dropped passes that hit him in the hands and Rodgers never went back to him. That dude just completely fell off the cliff so it would be nice to see if janis could take another slant or two to the house. Can he possibly be worse?

MM is never in a hurry to bring up young guys. Boykin may have a decent to good day tomorrow. If he has any crucial drops, he'll hurt his chances of playing any more. Adams seems to get open, but makes a lot of rookie mistakes. Nelson and Cobb are on the same page with Rodgers, but young guys take time.

This is all true, 4th and 1. Still, it might be time to roll the dice and activate Janis. (I would still have Adams as the #3 WR.) NE has some depth at CB, but if Arrington is inactive, Janis might be a better match up against the slower Dennard or against Butler and Ryan. I won't be mad if he is not activated, since I don't know what he's looked like in practice.

Kinda what I'm thinking, at least he's much faster and bigger too. Boykins play has shocked me after last year, 4 catches??
