Hey, everyone. Remember me? That guy that used to write and record podcasts here at Cheesehead TV and then got the crazy idea to open a bar in Madison?

I may not do much writing anymore, but I'm still trying to stay involved in the Packers-sphere.

The way I'm doing that is by hosting "Packer Fest" at our bar in Madison called Bierock in late August as a way to kick off the football season, and I wanted to extend an invitation to all the readers and listeners here at Cheesehead TV!

I might be biased, but I think it's a pretty cool event that Green Bay football fans will enjoy.

Former Packers tight end and Super Bowl champion Tom Crabtree will be coming. How cool is that?

Here's what's happening on Saturday, Aug. 25:

• We open at 10:00 a.m. by tapping five kegs of beer from Badger State Brewing in Green Bay, appropriately. It's a rare treat for us in Madison as Badger State Brewing does not regularly distribute to our market. We'll get a tap list as the event gets closer.
• Starting at 2:00 p.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. Tom Crabtree will sign autographs. You'll need a voucher to get an autograph. More on that below.
• Starting at 4:30 p.m. we revive "Railbird Central" from its hiatus with a special edition of the podcast in front of a live audience featuring Tom Crabtree as our guest.
• Then at 6:30 p.m., we'll show a replay of Super Bowl XLV on our big screen.

So how do you get Crabtree's autograph? There will be a cash-only pre-sale of vouchers on Thursday, Aug. 16 at Bierock in conjunction with the Packers-Steelers preseason game at 7:00 p.m.

There will be a limit of 200 sold at $20 each and a maximum of two purchased per person. If we don't sell out immediately, they will continue to be sold at the bar up to the day of the event until we sell out.

One voucher entitles you to one autograph. We encourage patrons to bring an item of their choosing to get autographed, whether that's a football, helmet, jersey, photo, football card, hat, memorabilia, whatever. We will sell 8X10 a limited amount of 8X10 photos the day of the event, but that's the only item that will be sold.

Yes, we fully realize that a pre-sale of tickets may not be the easiest way for every Packers fan to secure an autograph, especially for those out of town, and for that, we apologize. But we also want to respect the time Tom has given us. Unfortunately, those without a voucher will be turned away.

But even if you don't have an autograph voucher, you're more than welcome to join us for our other festivities regardless.
