No... Carrington Valentine is not getting any respect ( why ) Packers should not trade up to get cornerback, If Jerzhon Newton slides down or Amarius Mims the same those are my 25s

No. There’s some pretty darn good talent behind them through the first couple of days. They’d have to be Hall of Fame good to even potentially cover the difference of the surrendered top 100 pick over taking what’s still there if those 3 go before we pick.

NO! For the millionth time, NO! Let the draft fall to us. We will have multiple great choices @ #25 if we don't trade back. Don't waste valuable premium picks.

Virtually every player that people have talked about for 25 will be gone between 19-24. The second tier begins at 25. Unless by magic, someone like Cooper De Jean falls to 25 tis best to let the draft play itself out. If we could trade down and get a really favorable deal it is worth considering. Otherwise stay put! It will be interesting how Gute plays it out. We traded up to get Darnell Savage not long ago and could have had him without trading up. With a good strategy and a bit of luck the Pack could get a really great draft. Of course that is true for 30 other teams as well.

Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are the only CBs I would pick @ #25, but I would not trade up for either. The next 5 to 10 DBs would also be great players for the Packers without wasting picks to trade up for. Let the draft fall to us, trade back not up if necessary or possible, and we will have our best draft ever.

Its all about how far to trade and and for who. If Mitchell or Arnold hit pick #20 they could well be a target. Wiggins is talented but not a Packers type build - just too skinny. Moving higher in the draft than pick 25 to 20, no.

I'd probably prefer to see if DeJean drops to 25, rather than go up and get him.

No. In looking at trade value charts it is just too much to give up in such a move up scenario. Having 5 picks in the top 91 is worth something big. Giving up one or potentially two of those picks is too big of a gamble here.

Now if you're thinking someone could be trade bait for a draft move, well that could be a whole different discussion. I've seen those clickbait articles as well (not here).

As a general rule I think trading up in the first round is too expensive. Moving up 10 spots costs you an extra really good draft pick. So in general I would say no to this trade.

But.... after reviewing the CHTV draft guide I see that these fellows have ranked Quinyon Mitchell at #4 on their big board. The 4th best prospect in the entire draft?!

If the Packers can get the 4th best prospect with pick 16 (costs #25+#58), then I guess I would seriously consider that.
