Andy, I'd be very interested to see (or hear) your individual player grades for this game, since you'll do it anyway. Specifically run blocking by our O line. I am not the only one who noticed that when #28 is given the ball our O line seems to collapse, but I suck at watching the trenches and won't claim to know what the heck was going on out there. Also, #33 made many 8 yard runs. Was that due to getting good blocking or did he create that all by himself? My guess based on what I could see is yes; sometimes he got blocks that cleared a lane and he took it well, and sometimes he didn't and forged his own path.

Pass pro mostly kept JL clean and sometimes even gave him time. Not always. Who gave out when Chicago got pressure, hits and sack(s)? Ideally this would include snap counts. Especially Bakh, was he dominant on every play? I tried to notice player rotation and was pleased to see there was some, long before "garbage time," but I wasn't able to keep track of Bakh, if he got pulled or what.

INJURIES: #33 pulled up at the end of his long run. Fortunately that does seem to be minor. Does the field have anything to do with this? We won't know the extent of the injury until we see him at 100%. I'm in favor of having him heal 100% before putting him back in a game. We need him late in the season.

Quay Walker got creamed on his pick 6. I'd hope his helmet kept his head from being injured, that was only one time of many that the TV announcers were just silly. I'd be more concerned about his neck getting wrenched. Obviously the field has nothing to do with this.

I suppose if those are the only injuries, we got lucky?

I think our defense played aggressively. Not perfectly. Our DBs seem to be improved, but far from perfect. Some very good plays by our starters though, and lots of effort and intensity. Owens, who I became a fan of at practice, failed in one big play that allowed a TD to slip right through his hands. I saw him do ok on a couple pedestrian plays. Gaines was there on some coverage, did he only play ST?

Our run stop certainly allowed Chicago to get some plays, and not just Fields. Quay Walker was not an effective spy, but when he dropped into coverage he was immediately good again. I'm thinking coaching needs to come up with solutions to this.

Carlson didn't miss a point, right?
