Cory, you lost me at "The Packers have embraced his easy going style and swagger."

If I'm Gutekunst, I don't say one word to anyone, and take off running to the podium with the card.

YES. You take Paris Johnson Jr. without hesitation if he drops in our laps. I don't care who else I may be crushing on...

Not a fan of any of the OTs in R1. In most other drafts these guys are R2 maybe R3 prospects. Johnson I wouldn't touch at all. The guy is not a natural knee bender and therefore bends at the waist a lot. That means he will overextended his weight and be knocked backwards. Sure in college you can be successful and a waist bender but not in the NFL. The number of successful waist benders at OL or DL in NFL history can be counted on one hand.

All coachable deficiencies. Great length, good size and frame, and adequate functional strength....will get stronger with time. Far better pass blocker than run blocker...which is where OTs find their worth.

The key question is attitude and "want it". Is he mentally in the right place that he'll work and grow? If the answer is yes, then he's easily worth 15.

Lacking natural knee bend is not exactly the most coachable thing. Say he is able to have it coached, it will probably be 2-3 years until he could be in the starting lineup and not a liability.

Traded AR for 13 and 42. Might be a pipe dream, but who knows.

13: Nolan Smith - OLB - Georgia - Can never have enough Pass Rush. (Wonder if he could play off-the Ball too?

15: Joey Porter Jr. - CB - Penn State - Can never have too many big/long CBs with speed.

42: Darnell Washington - TE - Georgia - I don't think he'll last to 42, but I do believe he'll be a beast.

45: Matthew Bergeron - OT - Syracuse - Can play both Tackle spots.

78: Andre Carter II - OLB - ARMY - I don't think he'll last to 78, but if he did, Gutey would be crazy not to draft him.

116: Roschon Johnson - RB - Texas - May rival the value of his running partner Bijan Robinson, but at way better value in the 4th round.

149: Bryce Ford-Wheaton - WR - West Virginia - With MVS gone Gutey needed another 5th round speedster with a hyphenated name. He's a MVS clone with better coordination, imo.

170: Josh Whyle - TE - Cincinnati - 6' 6" 248 lbs 4.69 - Think he'll be a weapon in a couple years.

232: Matt Landers - WR - Arkansas - Another MVS clone. 6' 4" 200 lbs 4.37 speed. If we have an injury at the WR position, we can plug in a couple speed guys into the breech.

235 - Elijah Higgins - WR - Stanford - Think he's going to be a lot better than people think right now.

242 - Hunter Luepke - FB - North Dakota State - Another piece for MaLF's offense.

256 - Tavius Robinson - OLB - Mississippi - Can never have enough pass rush and at 6' 6" 257 lbs with 4.66 speed, I doubt he'll be there come the 7th round, but in this sim he was, so he's my guy.

Hope Gutey does half as well.

The current rumor has us switching first round picks and getting 43. Given Packers history, that pick will be used on a defensive player

I would prefer trading out of the first round and getting extra Day 2 picks. I do think we need some talent added to the Oline, and Paris Johnson would be a good add, but not at 15.
