Kingsley Enagbare reportedly suffers torn ACL vs Cowboys

The second year outside linebacker was an important rotational piece in the Packers defense.

The one sour note after yesterday's big win down in Dallas was head coach Matt LaFleur indicate that Kingsley Enegbare had suffered a pretty significant injury.

NFL Network reports that Enegbare suffered a torn ACL late in Sunday's contest.

With Enegbare sidelined, expect to see more of rookie edge rusher Lukas Van Ness against the 49ers on Saturday.

SHIT!@ That likely puts him out for 2024. He is an excellent rotational player at Edge. Makes a reworking of Preston Smith for 2024 more likely and drafting another edge for depth.

Dangnabit! He took a big jump in his sophomore season...obviously working hard in the offseason to hone his skills. Solid part of the rotation this year.

Rookie Brenton Cox gets his chance in Kingsley's spot.

Need more football players like Enagbare (two "a's", one "e").

Unfortunate. Sometimes an injury can reveal a hidden gem. Let's see what Cox can do. He seems to have some talent.

Oh, crap, I feel sorry for the young man. He’s been proving his worth, and getting better. Probably won’t be back for nearly all next season. Hit the weight room for your upper body, kid, come back stronger!

Yeah, that just sucks! At least he has Rashan Gary's example on how to recover to lean on. Let's hope he makes it back somewhere around mid- to late-season.

Talked to my Dalas fan son-in-law before the game (haven't forgiven my daughter for that lapse in judgment yet) and told him we haven't been given much of a chance and just hope it's a good game, unless it's the Packers getting a blowout (he laughed at me).

Told him I just wished there were no injuries to either team so that whoever won could be as strong as possible for the next game.

Can't have everything I wish for, I guess. Poor Enagbare. Hope he can come back strong.

Haven't heard back from the son-in-law or her since before the start of the game, now that I think of it. Wonder what happened in that house. Could be another injury? I wouldn't have put an end to their marriage plans unless he was a Bears fan. I think she wouldn't have considered that though.

I rewatched yesterdays game. For the second week in a row, Gary has been a no-show. He may have had participated on two after the fact pile on tackles, and one pass rush that hurried Dak. The pass was completed. He consistently over ran his rush responsibility and did not control the outside edge on runs to his side. With Enegbare out for the remainder, next Saturday, we need Gary to dominate the entire game. Unlike LVS he did not follow ball carriers when they got past the line of scrimmage. Is he injured??? If not, please earn your paycheck! GPG!!!!!

Well for the 2nd week in a row, he faced a top 10 draft pick who outweighs him by 50+ lbs. The other guys get paid too.

People tend to forget that it was only week 18 of the 2022 season that Gary blew out his ACL.

Another poster recently commented that one of the beat writers brought up the fact that while Gary's return to the field in 2023 was remarkable, his injury and rehab prevented him from the overwhelming majority of his normal off season conditioning regimen.

This would account for why Gary started the season strong and has sputtered out down the stretch.

So, is he injured? Not that I'm aware of. Is he still recovering from a major injury incurred less than 14 months ago? Well, probably.

That’s a big drop off . Van Ness doesn’t have Kingsley’s quickness.
