Not sure if Rogers fits the mold of a "Packers guy" but its interesting to think about. He's got too much baggage and takes too many plays off to be worth the money he's going to be getting in my mind.

He's got 15 mil guaranteed coming to him this year. Compare that to the 35 mil guaranteed that Haynesworth is asking for and Rogers begins to look like a bargain, taking plays off and all...

I thought the same thing when I read this. Why not? Haynesworth takes plays off too....for a lot more money.
He's turning down a lot of money to try and get out of there.

CH - Reggie McKenzie and his crew have had evals on almost every NFL player ready to go since around a month ago, with special attention paid to players they thought would get cut this week.

Not sure Rogers fits any mold outside of one at Bucyrus. That guy has a belly bigger than J-Lo's butt.

Agreed. He's supposed to be a bit of head case. Also, Aaron, what were the results of Rogers as the NT in the 3-4 this year? Was he effective at all? He was great at times in Detroit, but that was as a DT in a 4-3 system.

MM - he was an absolute beast as a NT, but as others have alluded to, he is prone to taking plays off...

In two weeks he'll be 30. I think his best days are behind him. Maybe one or two good years yet which only matters if you are trying to develop someone else.
I like BJ Raji more and more.

Watching highlights of Raji from last season and seeing his combine workouts is making me more and more convinced that he will be gone by the time the Packers pick, but I would just love it if they got him.

Rogers is a beast. HE was great last year - not his fault Cleveland traded for Thompson's trash...
