Today was the Packers' third padded practice of the 2017 season - here's what happened:
#Rookie CB Kevin King not in pads today. No word on his injury. Three draft choices are sidelined (King, Adams, Biegel) #packers
— Tom Silverstein (@TomSilverstein) August 1, 2017
Without King, GB lines up with House and Rollins outside with Randall in slot.
— Packer Report (@PackerReport) August 1, 2017
Team tackling for LBs involves 8-10 guys tackling ILB Cody Heiman into a mat. Now they've switched and David Talley is the "dummy" man.
— Michael Cohen (@Michael_Cohen13) August 1, 2017
Fumbles by wide receivers Michael Clark and Malachi Dupre during the ball security drill. #Packers
— Michael Cohen (@Michael_Cohen13) August 1, 2017
Joe Kerridge makes a pretty one-handed grab on a pass deep down the sideline from Brett Hundley during a RB vs LB passing drill #Packers
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) August 1, 2017
Ty Montgomery just torched Jake Ryan with a change-of-pace move for an easy catch deep down field. #Packers
— Michael Cohen (@Michael_Cohen13) August 1, 2017
One thing that stands out 1-on-1 is how good #Packers LT David Bakhtiari is pushing speed rush wide. Quickness, athleticism makes look easy.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) August 1, 2017
.@tae15adams is flat nasty off the LOS. House did well to stay on his hip, but Adams made a better catch. Fun battle to watch. #packers
— Greg Matzek (@gmatzek) August 1, 2017
Geoff Gray is quietly having another good day. Kid has been impressive.
— Aaron Nagler (@AaronNagler) August 1, 2017
Malachi Dupre with another great fingertip catch on the fly. 7th round rookie continues to show well #Packers
— Lance Allan (@lanceallan) August 1, 2017
Rookie RB Williams getting some first team snaps in no huddle 1vs1 team drill, playing on all 3 downs, valuable reps #PackersTrainingCamp
— Chris Roth (@rothchris) August 1, 2017
Seeing a lot of #Packers safety Morgan Burnett as ILB in 3-4 base defense. So that's base (3-4) with 5 DBs on the field.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) August 1, 2017
Some pass pro breakdowns in team drills. #Packers CB Damarious Randall and S Morgan Burnett have both blitzed unblocked for sacks.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) August 1, 2017
Jayrone Elliott busts into the backfield and Mutumbos a pass into the ground from Taysom Hill #Packers
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) August 1, 2017
Davis returner with No. 1 KOR, Janis with 2s

Mason Crosby's FG session:
PAT: Good
36: Good
39: Good
41: Good
43: Good
46: Good (partial block)
46: Good
48: Good
Now 14-of-14 in camp— Rob Demovsky (@RobDemovsky) August 1, 2017
Burnett breaks up a pass from Rodgers over the middle intended for Bennett. That's been a hell of a battle all camp.
— Aaron Nagler (@AaronNagler) August 1, 2017
Callahan rolls right in Pass Under Pressure and throws a dart to Colby Pearson on the run. Callahan having a solid camp.
— Aaron Nagler (@AaronNagler) August 1, 2017
Hundley to Rodgers for a TD to end practice. Offense goes wild. But Calvin would have had sack. 2:37 time of practice
— Packer Report (@PackerReport) August 1, 2017
Kevin King has a shoulder injury. No word on severity, but as I Tweeted earlier, heard him tell Burnett team is mostly just being cautious.

That's two corners down. Can never have enough corners.

Let's hope the injury bug gets squashed before TC enters next week.

The most interesting part of today's practice that I took note of is that Rollins went in with the starters with King out and the slot corner was Randall. But Rollins was with the base defense over Randall.
I understand that its early, but so far Rollins has been spending a lot more time with the starters then Randall.
Also seeing that Williams was getting more time with the starters suggests that he is ahead of the other rookie RB's early on.
Some other notes:
It seems that Dupre is making a run at the 53. He seems to make plays a lot.
Davis might be our top return man.

As long as it's Rollins and not Gunter...and I'm no huge Rollins fan.
I think they got the message last year. (Sigh of relief)

I will admit that Rollins was my draft crush. I saw him play in the senior bowl and went back and watched him play his only year of college football. He was lights out good.
His rookie year he played really good and last year he was injured a lot. He missed a quite a bit of the offseason too. For a player that was going into his 3rd year of college football, thats not a good thing.
I'm excited to see what Rollins brings in year 3.

Hearing a lot about Joe Kerridge. I think it was on Packers.com that there was some mention (might have been Larry McCarren) that Joe was blowing up people in the one-on-ones and in the pass blocking drills. Comments were that he was outdoing Rip! Maybe one of the RB's the Packers keep will be (can you believe it?) a second FULLBACK!! The one handed catch certainly puts him in the mix when taken in context with the other stuff. He's my 'sleeper' RB. Laugh at me if you will, LOL.

Not laughing at all. MM made comment after NFC championship game that he wants another fullback other than Rip on the 53. Most overlook the lost of Kuhn last year, it really restricted what MM could do in the running game. Kerridge's move to the 53 in the last 8 games brought back the packers heavy run set. Would not be surprised at all if Kerridge makes the roster and is featured early in the season.

S***!!!! Now I'm a little worried. Three of the top four picks, all defense, all hurt. Now we have the Packers being cautious?? I've heard that before!
I made some rah-rah comment suggesting this year the Packers injury luck just HAS to change. Promise, not another word from me about health. UGH!

no worries here.
King's injury was said to be more of them being cautious. Biegel sounds like he is returning soon. Adams sounds like he will be out 4-6 weeks.
I'm not worried at all to be honest.

Any word on how the Ripper is doing in camp?
