Datone Jones Trains with Former UFC Champ Chuck Liddell
After posting that Green Bay Packers defensive lineman was doing mixed martial arts training with Jay Glazer last week, this week Jones was photographed training with former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell.
Liddell shared a photograph Thursday on Instagram:
Liddell indicated the workout is taking place at Unbreakable Performance Center, a gym owned by Glazer and former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher in West Hollywood, Cal.
Jones grew up in nearby Los Angles and played his college football at UCLA.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jones have a big year for the Packers this year.

Learning some wrestling and Judo techniques from Chuck Liddell is just the cherry on top of a very important offseason for Datone. He took full advantage of every opportunity to get better and I can't wait to see the results of all that hard work.

Judo, is a form of hand to hand combat that allows you to basically counter the moves of your opponent using his power and momentum against him.
"Instead of just resisting a more powerful opponent with strength and power, adjusting to and evading your opponent's attack will cause him to lose his balance and power, making it possible for weaker opponents to beat significantly stronger ones."
Reggie White famous clubbing hump move had Judo principles to it. Get a guy leaning one way, using that shift in balance and momentum to toss him aside with maximum efficiency using minimal effort.
