Datone Jones on UCLA Teammate Johnathan Franklin
While at the NFL Combine, Packers first round draft pick Datone Jones shared his brief thoughts on UCLA teammate Johnathan Franklin, the running back whom the Packers made a fourth round draft choice on Saturday.
Said Jones...
"Johnathan Franklin is a great guy, great guy to be around. He’s a high-character guy, and he’s a hard worker. Johnathan Franklin is another guy who wants to be the best. His energy, a lot of times you’ll see him getting tackled in the backfield; all of a sudden he has a first down five yards later. It’s crazy, man. His work ethic is something that a lot of guys should follow. He’s real humble. Hard worker. Just an unbelievable athlete."

Love the Franklin pick. He or Lacy or both will end of being a stud, I just know it.

This potentially means no more Kuhn in on 3rd and medium -- right? It will be more of a guessing game for the opposing defense. Both Lacy and Franklin are willing/capable pass blockers that have better hands coming out of the back-field.

I have a feeling Franklin is going to end up being the better pro between he and Lacy. That's not saying I think Lacy will bust, I just think Franklin (in this offense) is going to be a rock star.

Good comments so far. I'm also pleased with Eddie Lacy...love his power. I believe we've found some runners!!...and D.Harris is a wild card to boot! I'm optimistic...
