Aaron Jones and Christian Watson not expected to play vs Falcons

Both players are dealing with hamstring injuries.

There seemed to be a glimmer of hope regarding Christian Watson's chances of playing on Sunday toward the end of the week as he did a bit more in practice and went into the weekend listed as Questionable.

So much for that.

ESPN reports that Watson is not expected to play for the second straight week in a row as he deals with a hamstring injury suffered in practice over two weeks ago.

Running back Aaron Jones is also expected to sit out while dealing with his own hamstring injury suffered in last week's victory over the Bears.

In other injury news, the team announced that second year linebacker Quay Walker has been cleared from concussion protocol and has no injury designation heading into Sunday's game in Atlanta.

I’m not shocked. Hamstrings that aren’t fully right can suddenly get a lot worse. Better to not risk a long layoff. I’d have been surprised to see either. Now the interesting thing is whether they will take a risk on Wilson’s talent or just play it safe.

I would personally have liked them to elevate melton for some go routes or similar deep shots, just to stretch their D. I suppose we could just use Reed, but it would have been nice to have a second speed option to get in their heads.

I definitely want to see them using Bo Melton if Christian Watson is still out. The whole reason for having depth is to use it in case of injury. Melton can at least fill the MVS role of stretching the opposing defense, he's the fastest WR on the team. Even if he's never open and never targeted, they have to put somebody effective on him and that helps somebody else get open.

Welp, that's definitely gonna hurt. BUT, if the Packers can run the ball, they should be ok. I think Taylor and Dillon will complement each other well, if that's the route they choose to take. Let's hope J-Love builds on the success of his first week and Jayden Reed makes some big plays! Also, it will be interesting to see how this newly revamped defense handles a rushing attack like ATL. If they can manage to hold the Falcons to minimal gains and force Ridder to beat them, they could be in for a long day. Either way I'm just hoping for success in all three phases like last week! Go pack!

I want to see Wilson #31 out there. He might take up #33's role.

Yes, let’s see what Wilson has when the torpedos are incoming.

"That's definitely gonna hurt."

Yep. After watching ATL's game I thought the Pack could really do some damage with outside runs, and losing Jones takes that away. It's time for Taylor and Wilson to get some carries.

On the road without our two best offensive players. Let’s see how we adapt. I’m sure that one way or another, people will blame Josh Myers and Dean Lowry….who isn’t even on the team.

If we win, great. I think we will. But if we lose without our two best offensive players, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why.

If we lose, it's...... "From the Defense Not Stopping the Run Game." We have pretty good pass game and depth there. Doubs and Reed are prototypical #2 WR's. Musgrave is a mis-match. It would be nice for Kraft to get going a bit also. Maybe Deguara comes back to life for the first time in a couple years. If our Defense builds on last week, we'll be okay. We may need our Kicker more today....GPG

Nope they got 25. We ended up missing a lot of good players on offense. Defense shot themselves in the foot in the 4th. Hope we get enough of our guys back on the field to not embarrass ourselves again.

Watson is glass. When the question was posed before the season, I said Baktiari trade him for .75$ on the dollar and be glad, as that’s as healthy as he’ll ever be..,truth.

I can't stand all these injuries. I know it's the problem for all the teams, but we didn't even enter the season at full health. And now we are enetering week 3 with problems with: RB1, WR1, two best O-linemen. Not to mention we gotta still be careful with Gary. I almost forgot there is someone like Eric Stokes. With the injury of Bakhtiari our injury reports started to be longer than most of novels. Now it continues. We have all this guys on paper, but we never are close to the full power.
