I'm not sure how I feel about Coach McCarthy's decision not to practice outdoors. On the one hand, he makes a great point in saying that he can get more done indoors. That is the truth. But it would seem to make sense to get the team outside at least once a week during the next month. Football is not played in a vacuum (unless it's being played in Minnesota) and things like route running and blocking technique all change once players are thrown into the elements, and I think the more exposure they have to the cold and the wind, the more likely they'll be able to overcome the elements when presented with them in a game. It's a real quandary, and it's why Mike is paid the big bucks, and I just get to snipe from the sideline...
