I'd be super bummed if Sidney Jones went 2 picks before GB came up to bat in the 2nd round. Otherwise, I'd be happy with this.

Bravo, on the effort Cody. No easy task. I like TJ obviously, it's hard not to. I'd rather have Charles Harris if he is available over Watt which I see Watt going to Dallas, because that would just very much be a Dallas kind of move. Either one of those two would make me giddy.
LOVE the Fabian Moreau pick. Truly think he can come in and eventually start, even in his rookie year. Maybe not immediately, but sometime during the season. Burner, lengthy guy that plays man well. I imagine House and Moreau playing outside, and Randall in the nickel. Looks good to me.
I don't mind Will Holden at rd 3, I do like that he's a tackle and (I hate to be this guy) but that he played in The SEC and I am about to investigate this guy heavy. Otherwise I also like Pat Elfein quite a bit but I like Ethan Pocic even more. To take it a different direction, Chad Hansen in the 3rd round would also be very intriguing...

I can see why Watt may be a better fit though honestly. Imagine having Watt and being able to run all that smoke and mirrors Capers likes to use anyway with he and Matthews both bouncing from inside to outside and vice versa. Charles Harris wouldn't give you that option so much since he's pure. To beat around the bush, a guy like Harris would make an awesome duo with Perry...if you smell what I'm stepping in.

I could argue over some of the selections before Green Bay, but will say this...heck of a job doing three rounds! Second, the Cowboys need starter quality CBs and safeties so I'm not that sure they take an Edge rusher in the first round. Most scouts have Harris rated higher than Watts, so Watt may be there when TT picks.
Listened to Bill Polien while at the gym and he didn't have Watt as one of the top 5 edge guys. Odd thing was that Watt hit every target that Polien put out there but he never said a word about him. Wasn't Watt an All-American? I guess we'll see next week......

My preference in the 2nd round would be to address T.J. Lang's departure, and with both Dion Dawkins and Dorian Johnson available, they could with a great fit for the Packers offense. I know CB is a need, but Cameron Sutton is a good option in the 3rd round, too.

I like the upside of Moton from WMU at that spot, too, if you've gotta have a G.

Now, granted I'm just some internet dumbass, but: Congrats, Cody - you found what must be one of the only configurations of the 1st round where I'd be happy to get TJ Watt. And I mean that sincerely.
It reminds me of the year we drafted Ha Ha. The board otherwise fell so shitty for us that he was really the ONLY pick that made any sense in that spot. Luckily he filled a dire need and most Packer fans wanted him too. It seemed like destiny. Last year, it felt like everyone I wanted, including Clark, were all still there at our pick.
I'm pretty nervous that this is a year where we're left picking at one guy left on the tier and if it's Watt, then so be it. I'll certainly be cheering him on.
I like Moreau in that spot a lot too.
I can take or leave Will Holden

I don't think we should address the gaurd position until round 4 or 5. TT does this all the time. I wouldn't mind another CB, the fastest ILB, or if hunt was here for RB because foreman won't be. I just think TT can find a starting OG in rounds 4 or 5 like he has in the past.

Outstanding work Cody. What makes your mock super interesting is not having Fournette at #4 to the Jags (like so many mocks). Likewise, not having the Browns taking a QB at #12. Nice job of not following the crowd.
I'm good with Watt. He has potential to be a playmaker. I'd also be happy with any of the several CBs that will be available at #29.

Two picks (aside from the Packers ones) jump out at me in round one. First, the Solomon Thomas pick at #2 for the 49ers, a popular choice, but I don't see any sense in it. .
They have recently drafted two pretty high 1st round picks at DE, Armstead and Buckner. Why on earth would they want to spend ANOTHER high first rounder there. I'd understand a 4-3 outside linebacker, but Thomas isn't that. I'd choose Jonathan Allen over Thomas, because he could hold up better as a 4-3 DT. However, more likely (imo) is RB Fournette. I have heard the 49ers think RB Hyde doesn't fit the 49ers new system so well, and they don't really need safeties so much, which makes Fournette a sensible pick there.
Of course, given the time of year, teams love misdirection, so the rumours regarding Hyde may be nothing more than the 49ers trying to persuade the Panthers to move up for Fournette, the 49ers current draft position is not a good match for their needs.
Next is pick #32, Tim Williams to the Saints. That guy has so many red flags on him (multiple failed drug tests and cited for carrying an unlicensed weapon, for example), I cannot believe he will get taken in round one - too much risk.
For the Packers picks, I'd take LB Jarrad Davis over Watt in the first, and I'd be more tempted to take C/G Elflein or RB Perine in the third.
Doing complete drafts, even three rounds, is very difficult. It is so much harder to get in the heads of every team, compared to just one team that we follow all the time.

I listened to a podcast last night that suggested that the 49ers are interested in moving on from Armstead, and actually suggested GB as THE ideal landing spot.
But I agree with you, I can't see them pulling the trigger on Thomas when they've got so many other needs at major positions and could easily roll with what they've got at DE.

I like Watt in the first. I would like to take a chance on getting a special player in the second and I believe Mixon from OK is a special talent at RB. Then, of course, we need to find a good corner in the 3rd. I also think TT will sign several free agent CB's after the draft. It is possible to find a very good one there as Sam showed. I believe we have an exceptional secondary coach to train up the needed athletic ability. Mixon is just too good. I would love to see him in our backfield.

I like this Mock. But I don't see us drafting 2 corners in the first 3 rounds.

If I were TT, I would target the 2nd round. I would trade down for a high 2nd round pick with my first round pick and I would trade up to a higher position than pick 61.
I would do what I could to get OLB Willis from Kansas St. and, after doing due diligence, I would draft RB Mixon or CB Kevin King.
This draft is deep at CB and if I didn't take a CB in the 2nd round I could still get a quality CB like Cameron Sutton in the 3rd round.
